Useless for the Ignorant

Amirdovlat of Amasia wrote Անգիտաց անպետ [ankidadz anbed] (Useless for the ignorant) between the years of 1478-1492. It is an encyclopedia of plants, natural and animal material that were used topically, energetically and internally. This work immortalized practices of resourcefulness and reverence in medieval Armenia and is the basis for armmad, I owe it more admiration than I could ever give.

I have chosen my favorite herbs, flowers and natural materials from his work to spotlight in this blog with the intention to honor these practices and to encourage their use today.

This list currently includes: It is sure to grow.

I purchased my copy from abril books online and recommend adding it to your library.
